An amusing and original tale written in verse. Another whimsical use of
this large and unusual type face for a mini-book (see also Mr.
Finney and the Turnip). This is a miniature re-working of Carol’s
1975 larger format book Toad, which used a different text face.
In addition, as a special offering from Carpe Libris while quantities
last, this book comes with a signed Toad keepsake measuring
9 1/2 (height)
x 12 1/2 (width) inches,
suitable for framing. Written and printed by
Carol Cunningham in 1970 using a combination of silk-screen, letterpress,
and computer-printed imaging, this is a broadside of a very large toad
sitting amidst the stanzas of a humorous toad poem. Done in the style
of what would later come to be the Toad books. A collectable in it’s
own right, this keepsake is a appropriate pairing with this book.
